Payments and Invoices
Spleen uses Stripe for subscription checkout and billing records. Spleen does not keep your full payment-card details in the application.
You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or iDEAL/Wero, and a few regional methods appear where they apply. Paying by iDEAL/Wero takes the first payment through your own bank and sets up a direct debit from the same account for the renewals that follow; your bank tells you about each one in advance. Changing the payment method on a running subscription is done with a card, because the Stripe portal does not offer iDEAL/Wero there.
All displayed prices include VAT, and the total shown at checkout is the total charged. Stripe collects a billing address during checkout and lets a business enter a VAT number. The checkout and later billing documents show the tax treatment applied to the subscription.
Open Account → Plan & billing and choose Manage billing. In the Stripe portal you can review available invoices and receipts, download a billing document, and update the payment method attached to the subscription.
The exact options shown in the portal depend on the subscription and its billing history. Accounts without a Stripe subscription do not show Manage billing and do not have subscription invoices in Spleen.
When a payment cannot be completed, Account shows Payment due. Open the portal to check or replace the payment method. Paid-plan access continues during Stripe’s retry period. If the subscription becomes unpaid or ends, the account returns to Quill without deleting existing work.
