Sign-In Methods

Spleen accounts can use an email address and password, or a supported external provider such as Google or GitHub. Use the same method you normally use when returning to the sign-in page.

Create and verify an account

Choose Sign up to create an account. You can continue with Google or GitHub, or enter your name, email address, and a Spleen password before choosing Create account.

When you create an account with an email address and password, Spleen sends a verification link to that address. Open the link to activate the account and sign in. If the message does not arrive or the link is no longer usable, return to Verify your email and choose Resend verification email.

Review your sign-in method

Open Account → Password & 2FA when you use a Spleen password. This area shows controls for changing the password and setting up two-step verification. For an account created through an external provider, open Account → Sign-in instead. It shows the provider as Connected and explains that no Spleen password is set.

Account settings do not currently offer controls for adding or removing sign-in methods or changing the account email address. A provider-only account can still add a Spleen password through Forgot password? on the sign-in page, as described in Change or Reset Your Password. If you lose access to the Google or GitHub account itself, use that provider’s account recovery process.
