Contact Support and Report a Bug
If something is not working as expected, start with Troubleshooting. If the problem continues, or if you have a question that is not answered in this guide, you can contact Spleen for help.
Contact support
Open the Contact page to use the contact form or send an email. You do not need to be signed in.
Briefly explain what you need help with and include the email address connected to your Spleen account when the question concerns your account, plan, or payment.
Report a bug
When you are signed in, use the bug button in the header on larger screens. It opens a short form over the page you are on, so you do not lose your place. On a phone, open the navigation menu from the projects overview or Account and choose Report a problem. Inside a project on a phone there is no bug button, so step out to the projects overview or Account first.
Briefly say what happened and what you expected instead. Spleen includes the page you were on, the app version, and basic browser and display details with the report. Nothing you have written is sent.
You can still report a problem through the Contact page or by email. Use a clear subject such as Report a bug: editor does not save. In your message, include:
- what you were trying to do;
- the steps that led to the problem;
- what you expected to happen and what happened instead;
- any error message you saw;
- the browser and device you were using;
- whether the problem happens every time.
If you report the bug by email, a screenshot can be helpful when it does not reveal private information.
Protect your information
Never send your password, two-factor authentication codes, backup codes, or complete payment card details. Avoid sharing a complete document or manuscript. A short example is usually enough when the problem involves particular text or formatting.
Support may ask for more information after reviewing your message.
