Archive, Restore, or Delete a Project

Archive a project when you want it out of your active workspace without losing it. Delete only when you are certain the project and its associated data are no longer needed.

Archiving a project

Choose Archive from Project actions. Archived projects remain available, but they no longer sit among current work.

Archived projects can be viewed but not changed. You can open and review them, export them, unarchive them, or delete them, but you cannot edit project details, documents, sections, notes, annotations, or structure until the project is unarchived.

Find archived projects from the projects overview by choosing Archived next to Projects. If you open an archived project, the workspace shows a banner that says the project is archived and includes Unarchive.

Restoring archived work

Choose Unarchive from the archived project’s actions menu to return it to the active projects list. The project’s documents, sections, notes, annotations, and snapshots remain part of the project.

Deleting a project

Deleting a project permanently removes the project and its associated data. If there is any chance you may want the project later, export a Spleen Archive first or archive the project instead.

The confirmation dialog is titled Delete this project? and warns that deletion cannot be undone. If the project is active, the dialog also says You can archive it instead and includes an Archive button.

To confirm deletion, type delete in the field labelled Type delete to confirm. The Delete button stays disabled until the phrase matches. The same typed confirmation is required when deleting several projects at once.
