Delete Your Account

Deleting an account permanently removes its projects, sections, documents, snapshots, notes, annotations, saved templates, shared links, uploaded images, sessions, sign-in methods, and other account data. It cannot be undone.

Open Account → Account, find the danger zone, and choose Delete account. The confirmation dialog gives you a final chance to download your data before continuing.

Download your data first

Choose Download data in the Your data section or the deletion dialog. Spleen saves a zip containing your account details and custom templates as a record, with each project included as a Spleen Archive that can be imported again.

You can import the zip through Projects → Import → Spleen archive to bring its projects back as new projects. The account details and templates in the download are not imported, so the zip does not recreate the account itself.

Confirm the deletion

If your account has a Spleen password, enter the current password. If you sign in only through an external provider, confirm that you understand the deletion is permanent. Spleen may ask you to sign in again if the session is no longer recent enough.

Deleting an account and changing a subscription are separate actions. If you delete an account with a paid subscription, the subscription ends immediately and unused time in the paid period is not refunded. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as tax law requires.

If you want to change or stop a subscription without deleting your account and its work, use Account → Plan & billing instead.
